What rivers can tell us about history is a great deal. Liz Hajek, a Penn State University geologist, offers remarkable photography and discussion on now dynamic landscapes can be and the implications. Using rivers as "time machines", she shows that jumping their banks and other geomorphological events can be studied by using the river record to investigate landforms throughout history. Her research asks questions as to how we should respect and learn tocoexist on this planet.
