California Burning

Riled Up noted the new heat index map developed to show pending  danger days  to come for American cities. It didn't take long for a heat alert to hit one of our largest urban environments. Los Angeles . An intense and wide/spread heat wave in the 108F- 114F range is occurring across much of southern California now, the home to nearly 15 million people. The LA situation is a perfect representation of what "danger days" are all about.

To commemorate such extreme weather events and their consequences, the roots/Americana musician  Dave Alvin  and his band present their own heat warning with a rocking interpretation of the country song; California's Burning.   "You may be rich or poor, but you know that fire won't care":
