Imaging Fish in Words & Brush

Imaging Fish in Words & Brush

Author: Hugh Bollinger/Sunday, April 19, 2015/Categories: natural history, sustainability, art and design, environment

The graphic artist and writer  James Prosek  draws and writes about trout and fishes of all kinds. His books and drawings have captured the imagination of many people.

Prosek penned a opinion for the  New York Times  on trout fishing, what drives us to this passion, and what these small salmonids remind us about environmental quality. A short documentary shows Prosek pursuing trout in some untrampled creek, pondering fish and the environment, and returning to his studio to capture its elegance with brush and watercolors.

The video is a quiet meditation as Earth Day approaches and what trout can tell us.
