The natural world. Looking pretty for 3.5b years.

Mars Art Gallery

Author: Hugh Bollinger/Wednesday, June 11, 2014/Categories: natural history, photography, art and design

Mars continues producing images that would make any modern artist proud.

A new photography captured by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter shows a surface landscape form called a draa,
a landform form with large waves. This draa extends nearly a mile and they relatively uncommon. The giant draa has steep faces hundreds of feet high separating a diversity of other sand dune types.

The new Mars image would fit well on a modern art gallery wall.
