In celebration of plants everywhere and the roles ranging for oxygen production, environmental stability, and beauty in the wild and planted landscapes everywhere, our Journal offers an occasional series of photographic posts of botanical treats. We will select plants that may be familiar or not but well worth learning more about.

Here is one beautiful tree from northern Australia known as the Swamp Bloodwood, Corymbia ptychocarpaCorymbia is one of the 3 genera commonly known as Eucalypts, the famous Gum Trees of Australia. Ranging from redwood size species to small grown-covering shrubs, the Eucalypts are found in every environment on the continent. Eucalypts are now found planted worldwide from temperate to semi-arid landscapes.
