21st Century Enlightenment

As part of their effort to create 21st Century Enlightenment, those clever animators at the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce ( RSA ). invited the food commentator, Michael Pollan to answer the existential question "can you have your cake and eat it to?".

Since industrial food has consequences from its production and consumption---water pollution from fertilizer run-off; climate consequences from energy use; destruction of forests for increased acreage: not to mention an obesity epidemic---this is an important topic and question. As always, the animators at RSA use their extreme talents to illustrate complex ideas in a powerful way.
