Alien Ocean & Moon?

Author: Hugh Bollinger/Sunday, August 25, 2013/Categories: natural history, photography, space science

You wouldn't be criticized for thinking this photograph depicted an alien ocean and moon from some far, away star. It is actually our own moon seen at a sundown. The moon had its unilluminated half masked by the sunset glow of Earth's sky. The sea looks limitless.
