Still Life with Dust, #7

a space photograph of a nebula apears like a drip painting

Author: Hugh Bollinger/Sunday, July 7, 2013/Categories: natural history, art and design

Like a complicated drip painting by Jackson Pollock or Janet Sobel a recent photograph of this nebula captures wild streamers of dust and splashes of stars. However, rather than paint the "brush" is a camera positioned on a telescope at the University of Arizona peering into the cosmos.
