Fire & Ice

Author: Guest Writer/Friday, September 21, 2012/Categories: Uncategorized

Robert Frost wrote his famous poem Fire & Ice about how the earth might end:

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

Frost wrote his poem in 1920 but he might have thinking about the USA in fall 2012 considering all the fires now raging across the western landscapes.

Autumn has two months remaining before ice begins falling. Frost was very prescient about how the environment influences our lives.
