A very unusual visitor has appeared in London's Thames River, a rare Beluga whale, thousands of miles south of its normal high Arctic habitat. A Reuters video shows the ghostly white marine mammal swimming and surfacing normally. The whale has been nicknamed Benny by onlookers. Pollution in the murky river water from industrial and port sources, as well as discarded plastic waste, is a real concern for the whale's health. Hopefully, Benny will reverse course in the brackish, polluted water and return to the ocean.
