a Big Object and a Big Idea

The Kepler space telescope has discovered over 5000 alien exo-planets orbiting their stars' since its launch in 2009. The telescope measures a tiny dimming of a star's light when a planet passes in front of the solar body to determine if a big object is orbiting it.

Kepler has spotted something large circling a star 1000 light years distant that could be even more amazing than a planet. The astronomer Tabetha Boyajian, a Yale post-graduate researcher, Tabetha Boyajin discusses this big object and what it may represent:
