The natural world. Looking pretty for 3.5b years.

In Support of Mountains

Author: Hugh Bollinger/Thursday, November 5, 2015/Categories: natural history, sustainability, environment, climate change

The role of mountains in providing environmental resources should be part of any climate change conversation. Supplies of glacial derived water for lowlands, landscapes for numerous people, and their habitat for biodiversity are all impacted by changing climate patterns. The mountains can't speak for themselves and require support from others concerned about climate change.

You can help make the mountains an important issue by supporting a petition to the upcoming climate change congress sponsored by Italian, Swiss, and the mountain partnership delegates to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change in Paris. The goal of 5000 individual signatories is close at hand. You can make it happen!
