World Rhino Day

Author: Hugh Bollinger/Tuesday, September 22, 2015/Categories: wildlife conservation, sustainability, environment

Today is  World Rhino Day , a moment to recognize a surviving mega-fauna wildlife species from Africa and Asia, The creatures require a lot of celebrating as their numbers have been rapidly reduced from poaching, habitat loss, and the use of their horns as folklore tonics and trinket-like ornaments.

This special day provides an opportunity for non-profit organization, zoos, and the public to celebrate rhinos in many unique ways. Activities vary from classroom conservation projects, fundraising events and auctions, media presentations, and poster displays about these special, ancient, and endangered creatures.

Rhinos need all the help they can get so celebrate in some positive way to help them.
