Coming up with new and sustainable designs for architectural, robotic, or otherwise useful products is a long process. It should take more advantage of the results of evolution by using biomimicry or taking design ideas from nature. Evolution's slow selection and re-selection process has created a wealth efficient designs that have survived the test of time. They offer excellent analogs for engineers, designers, and builders.
