What is happening to the oceans isn't good and not sustainable. However, marine biologist Jackie Savitz with Oceana says fixing the world's oceans could help to feed the planet's most hungry people. In a visually dazzling TED talk, the marine researcher explains what is now happening to global fisheries and offers smart suggestions of how to help protect and restore them for everyone's benefit. Ocean restoration is possible but requires correct attention, concerted management, and understanding the ecological basis sustaining fisheries:
