45-day Exposure

Author: Hugh Bollinger/Saturday, March 14, 2015/Categories: photography, art and design

Solargraphy,  pin-hole or alternative photography , creates images by an early technique of capturing light to produce a picture. It is having a renaissance as new substrate materials are used in the process.

Here is a solargraph made of an old bi-plane sitting stationary as the Sun rose and set over a 45-day exposure period. The gaps in the Sun's trails were produced by cloudy days.
