Patterned Mars

Author: Hugh Bollinger/Tuesday, August 19, 2014/Categories: natural history, photography, art and design

Mars has beautifully patterned landscapes. They continue being exposed in photographs captured by the  HiRise  camera on the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. Here are three more including wind blown ridges, colored sand dunes, and frozen soil polygons, each "suitable for framing" in a gallery.
