"Bright Ideas" Win Out

Transition Lab wins MIT sustainability contest

Author: Hugh Bollinger/Friday, September 6, 2013/Categories: sustainability, environment

Earlier this summer, Riled Up suggested three Bright Ideas we considered worthy of wider attention and support. One of the projects was an initiative pioneered by the Transition Lab . Based in Colorado, the lab helps communities become more environmentally sustainable.

This group of dedicated young innovators has now been selected by MIT as one of their  Climate CoLab Judges' Choice and Popular Choice winners for their 2012-2013 contests . The lab was recognized for their local solutions using a scalable resilience approach for educating local economies. The Colorado group has will go to Cambridge in November and present at MIT"s annual conference on sustainability.

Congratulations to the all MIT's winners and to those who supported these "bright ideas".
