Ripples in Still Water

Author: Guest Writer/Monday, February 4, 2013/Categories: Uncategorized

"If my words did glow with the gold of sunshine
And my tunes were played on the harp unstrung
Would you hear my voice come through the music?
Would you hold it near, as it were your own?

Ripples in Still Water"

Like the famous song by the Grateful Dead ripples underwater have been observed off the coast of Trinidad. Seen by the Space Station, the "internal waves" are the surface manifestations of slow ocean movements underneath the surface. Internal waves can produce enough of an effect on the sea surface and can be seen when sunlight is reflected back into space on a clear day. They can be very beautiful like an Earth song
