It's useful to reflect on creative ideas from the past and see how they have been adopted, or not, in the present or could be in the future. Rob Hopkins proposes an energy transition where we prepare for lives independent of fossil fuels. He suggests adopting the concept of ecological resilience as it might be applied by people and communities as they move to become energy independent. The original presentation of his ideas was a decade ago in 2009.
