Ecology is often seen as highly complex interactions between the organisms and their environment represented species interactions and adaptations that evolved over time. However, sometimes basic ecological principals can be summerized by a simple illustration using a 'big picture' approach. That is the case for the consequences of deforestation to both ecology and infrastructure in a conceptual forest landscape.
