How can science teaching be improved for the educating of young investigators? Engage the talents of storytellers, experimental data simulations, and virtual or augmented reality games.

Michael Bodekaer, is the co-founder of Labster an educational media company in Switzerland. He wants to make teaching science more accessible by using virtual labs and data visualizations. Bodekaer presented his concepts at a recent event at CERN, the advanced physics center near Geneva, by offering revolutionary demonstrations. These tools are exciting improvements to science education for middle schools and universities.

Teaching 21st Century scientists and engineers will require manipulating 'big data' sets, applying animation and gaming tools, combined virtual or augmented reality storytelling. The collaborations will enhance the practice and understanding of science and could help solve critical environmental and medical science challenges.
