The Conservation Alliance, the national organization of outdoor manufacturers and retailers, will host a breakfast presentation by Kevin Fedarko and Pete McBride. The pair of adventurers will present their epic 2017 trek to transect the entire lenght of the Grand Canyon on foot. Fedarko is the author of The Emerald Mile and McBride is an award-winning photojournalist and filmmaker. Both have been widely represented by articles and imagery in numerous magazines and publications. The event is open to the public and will be held at Denver's Hyatt Regency Hotel at 7:00-9:00 AM on Friday, January 26th.

The Conservation Alliance supports conservation initiative by organizations throughout North America who work to protect, restore, and support public lands with on-the-ground projects. Since its inception in 1989 from initial funding support by Patagonia, The North Face, REI, and Kelty, The Conservation Alliance has now: funded efforts to save more than 51 million acres of wildlands; protect 3,102 miles of rivers; stop or remove 30 obsolate dams; designate 5 marine reserves; and purchase 13 recreational climbing areas. Their grants' program in 2017 totalled over $1.8 million provided to support 50 different local organizations. You can join them in these worth conservation efforts with a personal donation here.

The presentation by Kevin Fedarko and Pete McBride should not be missed if you're in the Denver area later this month. It promises be both amazing and inspiring.
