Who knew fundamental chemical elements could be so literate?

Science fiction author, Mary Soon Lee, provides a poetic review of the entire periodic table. She composed hikus, the traditional Japanese poetic device using three lines, for each element of the chemical table, plus an extra haiku for the yet-to-be-created, element-119. Her poems encompass astronomy, biology, chemistry, history, physics, along with clever bits of whimsical flair. One example:

Calcium: The horse's gallop, the eagle's swiftness both framed, by your quiet strength.

An educational table and also good fun using letters and numbers. The fully interactive version is here.
