Poseidon, is the Greek god of oceans and protector of all sea creatures, horses, and the master of floods, droughts and earthquakes as well. He gets very upset when the oceans are abused as this poor chap learned: 

World Oceans Day should be recognized all year to remind ourselves of marine environmental issues, wildlife preservation, the danger of plastic pollution, human benefits, wonder, and ocean sustainability worldwide.
