The Olympic Games in Brazil are less than two months off but they continue facing a myriad of problems. From delays in facilities construction; concerns about water pollution for aquatic events; fiscal miss-management and corruption; to athletes who won't attend over worries about infectious diseases like zika and dengue, the Rio Olympics have been plagued by bad news.

Now add an additional concern as the Games official mascot, the endangered jaguar, was shot and killed during an Olympic torch relay stunt. Not a good advertisement about environmental concerns in Brazil.
