Gnarled Bristlecone trees were once considered the oldest living trees on Earth. Now, the list includes other amazing plants and organisms that may exceed these ancient pines. The nature photographer Rachel Sussman shares images of the world's oldest continuously living life forms. They include a 2,000-year-old brain coral in the Caribbean to an "underground forest" in South Africa. All these wondrous Methuselahs need protection to ensure their continued 'long life'.
