We recently recommended to our readers that they consider signing a petition in support of adding mountain issues to the upcoming United Nations climate meetings in Paris. The initial goal of 5000 signatories was established by the Mountain Partnership and has now been met.

Representatives of the Italian Parliament who endorsed the petition said in their official statement statement:

"The petition launched by the Mountain Partnership, which is now reaching 5 000 signatures, is very timely. We must continue to support it”.

Congratulations to all who supported mountain issues with signatures of concern. For those who didn't have a chance before, the final petition deadline for signing is November 29, 2015. Why wait?
