The Lives of Giant Trees

The giant trees of the temperate rainforests of the Pacific Northwest and their ecosystems are huge, magical, and surprisingly poorly understood biologically. The author Richard Preston,  The Hot Zone  and  The Wild Trees  , explores the dimensions of these giants using the tools of a mountaineer to access their canopies.
