Art Glaciers

Author: Hugh Bollinger/Tuesday, May 5, 2015/Categories: natural history, photography, art and design, environment

Jeff Kirby, wildlife ecologist, climate change researcher, and "young explorer" with the National Geographic Society, captured a remarkable image of Greenland's  Russell Glacier  while doing his research.

Kirby increased the contrast and saturation of his actual photograph and created an artistic representation of the frozen river. It that could fit easily on any high-end art gallery in New York, London, or elsewhere.
