The natural world. Looking pretty for 3.5b years.

Art Gallery Ready

Author: Hugh Bollinger/Thursday, August 14, 2014/Categories: natural history, photography, space science, art and design

Three space telescopes were use to create a remarkable view of the Ring Nebula that is ready to hang on any art gallery wall. Using narrow-band hydrogen radiation, combined with visible and infrared light emissions, the image details all the rings surrounding the 1 light-year wide "eye" of the nebula.

The composite photograph says it all. What amazing cameras!
