The natural world. Looking pretty for 3.5b years.

Thamserku views

Author: Hugh Bollinger/Thursday, July 10, 2014/Categories: natural history, photography, art and design, adventure

Thamserku is a subtle giant aside the trail leading to Mount Everest in Nepal's Khumbu Valley. Besides the Buddhist sherpas, who consider it a holy mountain, and a few intrepid mountaineers, Thamserku is little known. At 21653 feet (6600 meters) the mountain is a wonder in its own right. Two views of Thamserku capture the mountain's glory at different times.

No wonder the local sherpas think that deities inhabit its peak.
