The new world of robots, machines and artificial intelligence can seem annoying. Everybody has "de-friended" me on Facebook. On Twitter, they've all stopped "following" me and now they're "shunning" me. My Roomba is striking for a higher wage. And Siri ridicules me -- I think I heard her call me a Mick behind my back. 

But if you like to take pictures of the natural world, the new era of drones promises to be beautiful. Check out the kinds of thing that is getting easier to do:

Clearly this thing has immense benefits for shooting the natural world and making people fall in love with nature. Environmental journalists are using the drones to document important stories

But the FAA is putting up a stink, saying these drones are not allowed. Why? Is the stuff they come back with too pretty? Too cool
