A Poem for the Koch Brothers

A Poem for the Koch Brothers

Author: Reilly Capps/Sunday, December 22, 2013/Categories: climate change

[Above, David Koch]

The name’s pronounced “koke,”
and not like a schlong.
It feels like a joke --
a punchline gone wrong.

If Dickens’d thinked up
geezers, oil-soaked,
chauffeured in Brinks trucks,
freezers grey-wolf-choked,

helicoptering
in -- case you forgot --
beluga n’herring
for Fido and Spot,

begging and kvetching
for drilling unfettered
While wearing their fetching
new panda bear sweaters.

So mean! So ungrateful!
All that oil -- That’s ours!
Yet buys THEM a spate full
of big mansions and cars!

Denying the oil
that made them tycoons
is making Earth boil
and causing typhoons.

Dork, Idjit, Pall, Dead, Dim,
Jerk, Dick, Prick, Bore, Shill, Ho --
Dickens woulda called them
Or Nimrod -- or Dildo.

Dickens ain’t alive to
baptize these dudes "Dimwits."
folks now decide to
Call ‘em out on their shit
