"We forget that the water cycle and the life cycle are one." That quote from the famous TV personality, Jacques Cousteau, says it all.

Everyone should be paying more attention to water, particularly during this International Year of Water cooperation. The first event was held on World Water Day last month but events will happen all year.
Water, its availability and conservation was the subject what the business magazine Forbes is calling: The Biggest Story of Our Lifetime .

The Jet Propulsion Laboratory at CalTech is doing their part by publishing maps showing the changes in water resources on Earth. Here's a composite graphic of data from 2003-2009 of major groundwater losses in the Middle East where red indicated decrease in water supplies during this period.
